A descriptive survey design was employed, with a sample of 420 doctoral students from four regional universities. Data was collected using a structured questionnaire and analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. The findings reveal that Google Docs and Authorea are the most widely used online tools for academic writing and collaboration, followed by Overleaf and OneNote. Surprisingly, Microsoft Office 365 showed lower adoption rates. Regarding reference management software, Mendeley and Zotero emerged as the clear favourites, with EndNote and Citavi also showing significant usage. Statistical analysis indicated significant differences in the use of online tools for academic writing and collaboration and the types of reference management software used among postgraduate students. These differences could be attributed to individual preferences, institutional recommendations, or varying levels of technological literacy. The study contributes to understanding digital literacy and technology adoption in higher education in developing countries. It provides valuable insights for educational institutions, policymakers, and software developers to support postgraduate students' academic endeavours. Recommendations include implementing digital literacy programs and developing standardized sets of recommended tools to enhance research productivity and collaboration among doctoral students in North-west Nigeria.
2025-01-14T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Muhammad Auwal Yakubu, Zohaib Hassan Sain, Uthman Shehu Lawal, Septian Arief Budiman, Dian Permana https://kharisma.pdtii.org/index.php/kh/article/view/68 Transformational Leadership in Education: Harmonising Accountability, Innovation and Global Citizenship 2025-01-04T21:16:15+00:00 Moses Adeleke Adeoye princeadelekm@gmail.com Hasan Baharun ha54nbaharun@gmail.com Izzatul Munawwaroh 2352600002@unuja.ac.id
This article explores integrating transformational leadership in educational settings, focusing on balancing accountability with innovation while fostering sustainability and global citizenship. This article used a qualitative case study approach; data were collected through interviews, participatory observations, and document analysis. The findings indicate that adopting the SRIKANDI application has streamlined document storage, retrieval, and distribution, improving efficiency. This system reduced service times and operational costs, evidenced by a daily user increase from 100 to 300 for Umrah registration services. However, challenges include employee resistance to new systems, limited training, and infrastructure constraints. To address these, socialization and capacity-building programs have been implemented. This study highlights the importance of digital transformation in public service, offering greater transparency, efficiency, and enhanced user satisfaction. By aligning with global best practices, the research provides insights for policymakers and public service organizations aiming to implement digital archive management, particularly in developing countries. The study concludes that ongoing investment in technology and human resource development is essential to maximize the benefits of digital archiving. Future research should investigate the long-term impacts of digital archive systems on employee performance and user satisfaction. Comparative studies across various governmental offices could identify best practices, particularly in regions with limited technological infrastructure. Additionally, future research could explore strategies to overcome employee resistance to digital systems.
2025-01-22T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Nova Auliyatul Faizah, Sultan Salem https://kharisma.pdtii.org/index.php/kh/article/view/63 Integrating Tahfidz Program Management for Comprehensive Student Character Development 2024-12-17T05:28:33+00:00 Heru Setiawan herustw82@gmail.com Shakila Kausar shakilakausar5@outlook.com Muhammad Nur Hakim munuhakim92@gmail.com Fika Asmaul Husna fikaasmaulhusna99@gmail.com
Effective student management is vital for character development in educational settings. At MTs Tahfidz Al-Izzah Mojokerto, the Tahfidz program (Memorizing the Quran) significantly shapes students' academic achievements and moral foundations. This study analyses the planning and implementation of student management through the Tahfidz program. This research examines how student management, supported by the Tahfidz program, is planned and executed at MTs Tahfidz Al-Izzah Mojokerto and impacts students' character development. This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach with a case study method. Research data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentation from key stakeholders, including students, teachers, and administrators at the school. The study reveals that student management planning at MTs Tahfidz Al-Izzah starts with precise goal setting aligned with the school's vision and mission. The Tahfidz program is a central component structured with specific activity schedules. Implementation includes student selection via written tests and BTQ, followed by groupings for Tahfidz activities and continuous mentoring. The program effectively fosters students' academic success and strong moral character. The research suggests that the Tahfidz program could be an effective model for student management in Islamic schools. Future research should explore the long-term impact of this program, identify factors that contribute to its success, and compare it with other character development programs to provide a broader perspective.
2025-01-23T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Heru Setiawan, Shakila Kausar, Muhammad Nur Hakim, Fika Asmaul Husna https://kharisma.pdtii.org/index.php/kh/article/view/67 The Application of Umar Bin Khattab's Servant Leadership Ethics in Educational Institution Management 2025-01-02T00:20:14+00:00 Aninda Tri Safinatun Najah anindasafinatun@gmail.com Firdha Aulia Putri Anisa putrianisa0092@gmail.com Devi Pramitha devipramitha@uin-malang.ac.id
This study examines leadership in Islam, emphasizing values of ethics, integrity, justice, and responsibility as the main foundation for achieving performance and success in educational institutions.
