Charismatic Leadership in Improving The Quality of Resources in Islamic Boarding School

This research aims as a solutive effort in overcoming the low quality and loyalty of human resources and the management system of the Islamic boarding school through the charismatic leadership of caregivers in the Muhammadiyah Darul Arqom Karanganyar Islamic Boarding School. This research uses a qualitative approach with data analysis techniques using the concept of Miles and Hubermen. The data source of this research consists of primary data sources through in-depth interviews with Islamic boarding school managers, students and alumni, then secondary data sources through relevant literature sources. The data collection techniques of this study are observation, interviews and documentation studies. The results showed that a caregiver must have skills in combining leadership styles in implementing his leadership. charismatic abilities that become identity in influencing HR elements. In terms of motivating subordinates, both educators and students are expected to be done well by the government with a person-to-person, group-to-group, and collaborative approach. Conclusion of improving the quality of education at Pesantren Muhammadiyah Darul Arqom Karanganyar its leadership pattern in improving the quality of human resources of teaching staff and education staff, namely by changing the mindset of human resources by encouraging, motivating, providing opportunities for teaching staff and education staff to make changes for the better by delegate human resources in HR development programs, such as training, workshops, seminars, and so on.
